How it works
Every property gets the same day, every week. We text the day before, run the route in the morning, and you get a clean lawn before you're home from work.
Routes are organized by neighbourhood so we're efficient with travel time — that means lower prices for you and a tighter schedule we can actually hold.
Rain weeks happen. We push the route to the next dry day and keep the cycle on track. You'll always know what day to expect us.
How often should I mow my lawn in Ottawa?
Cool-season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass and fine fescue — the dominant blends in Ottawa lawns — push their fastest growth in late May and early June, then slow down in July's heat before a second growth flush in September. The right answer is weekly during the growing season, with adjustments for drought stretches.
Our standard is a 7-day cycle from May through October, with the lawn mowed at 3 to 3.5 inches. Taller blades shade the soil, retain moisture, and crowd out crabgrass and broadleaf weeds before they can germinate. Cutting too short — anything below 2.5 inches — invites weed pressure and stresses the turf in heat.
We follow the "one-third rule": never remove more than one-third of the blade in a single cut. That's why a missed week is a real problem in June; you'd need to cut twice in three days to recover, and the second cut still scalps the lawn. Sticking to a weekly schedule keeps your turf in its happy zone all season.

Lawn cutting FAQ
What's your cutting height?
Standard 3 to 3.5 inches for cool-season Ottawa lawns. We can go shorter on request but don't recommend it — short turf invites crabgrass and dries out fast in July.
Do you bag or mulch clippings?
We mulch by default — mulched clippings return up to a quarter of your lawn's seasonal nitrogen needs back to the soil. We bag on request or when the lawn is too wet/long to mulch cleanly.
What if it rains on my service day?
We push to the next dry day and keep the cycle on track. You'll get a heads-up text. We never skip a week to "make up time" — that just means an overgrown lawn the following visit.
Do you sign contracts?
Seasonal service agreements only — no multi-year lock-in. If you're ever unhappy, you can cancel for any reason after 7 days' notice.
How does the Complete Fertilizer package fit with weekly cutting?
They pair perfectly. Weekly cutting keeps the turf at the right height; the fertilizer program feeds it from below. Most of our weekly customers add either Basic or Complete in spring.
Free estimate, fast turnaround.
Most quotes go out within 2 hours. No contracts to sign just to see a number — pick weekly cutting and we'll send a per-visit and per-season price.
